That crazy Dizzee Rascal always be acting silly. Now he has a song with popular trance Dj Armand Van Heldnen. It's as hard as a song from an apparently dizzy British rascal gone simply bananas can get.
Cryptacize: The fun and quirky indie rock band from the great state of California currently on tour with Sufjan Stevens and The Fiery Furnaces (start the tour with Sufjan and end with Furnaces). Their new album with Asthmatic Kitty is entitled Mythomania.
With his new tour comes new songs and possibly a new style? Sufjan Stevens has always dabbled in with electronic beats but in his new song There's Too Much Love it sounds like he's dropping the acoustic banjo for an electric guitar and some synths. I seriously hope his whole new album isn't like this because the banjofolkacousticness of Sufjan is what ultimately made me such a big fan of his.
Dodos came out with a new CD last month.. haven't really listened to it much till recently. I'm not in love with it but it's good. Their single Fables is alright I personally prefer the songs This Is A Business and Troll Nacht. They have more of that Visiter album sound that I loved. This Is A Business has fast pace guitar noodling with the simple drum beat and Troll Nacht has the harmonic guitar riff similar at first to Undeclared then kicks in with the beat and vibraphone.. it's nice. Plus the duo gained a new member so now there is a little more musical variety. I kinda liked the solely guitar drum though so it has it's pros and cons.
So Drake and his YoungMoney crew decided remixed my Swedish girlfriend Lykke Li's hit single Little Bit and I honestly don't know how I feel about this. It gives Lykke Li more publicity but on the other hand it's just another Hip-Hop rape of an amazing song. I also don't like how on Drakes album it's Little Bit(feat.Lykke Li). Now that's just rubbish.

Neon Indians psychedelic electronica EP Psychic Chasms is a great mix of relaxing trippy beats that leads me to believe that Neon Indians use of the recreational drug LSD may just be the influence of his music (the song "Should Have Taken Acid With You" also kinda gave it away) but none the less it is a good EP.The female trio Au Revoir Simone also has a new CD out called Still Night Still Light that has a nice indie pop sound which you should check out...
.. but I just can't get over this Neon Indian remix of Au Revoir Simone's new single Another Likely Story. So here it is.
Chris Haslam and Daweon Song rocked the face off a miniramp a couple years ago. The shit they end up duing around 6 minutes in gets pretty stuey bananas.
If you haven't heard of The Bloody Beetroots by now.. well you probably don't listen to electo music because this Italian venom masked duo is how you say "poppin off" in the scene. Their debut album Romborama is like a dance party trapped in my ipod. You do want to illegally download it. Shit I might even go buy it just to support this beat making duet.
Lately whenever I just want to kick back and relax I throw on some Xx (Don't worry Sufjan you wont be replaced). Their simple beats and harmonic boy girl duo singer action just seems to put me in a trance like state. Their self titled debut album is great front to back. Although not the liveliest of bands, I feel The Xx is a band to expect good things from.
This is their single Crystalised... like i said not the liveliest band around.
